Ó Cuív welcomes funding of over €7,000 to support older people’s security needs

Éamon Ó Cuív TD, Minister for Social Protection has today (Thursday 5 August) welcomed funding allocated to two Galway community groups in relation to the Government scheme for Community Support for Older People.Cregmore Community Alert is to receive €885 and Turloughmore Community Alert is to receive €6,260.
Minister Ó Cuív welcomed the allocations and said; “This security-equipment scheme, which is an initiative of the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs, will assist in supporting our older people to live more securely and with more peace of mind within their homes and communities.”
