€100,000 sanctioned by Ó Cuív for Village Renewal in Co. Mayo

Éamon Ó Cuív T.D., Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, has announced that he has sanctioned grants to the value of €100,000 to Mayo County Council to carry out improvement works in a number of villages in the Parish of Cill Chomáin, Co. Mayo. These works form part of Fóram Pobail Iarthuaisceart Mhaigh Eo’s plan involving investment of €750,000 before the end of the year, as announced on 05.10.09.
This funding is being provided for footpaths, landscaping, lighting and related improvements in the villages of Inbhear, Poll an tSómais, Ros Dubhach, Corrán Buí and Ceathrú Thaidhg/Ceathrú na gCloch.
Minister Ó Cuív said that these community improvement projects will commence shortly and will be finished, in the most part, by the end of 2009.
