Minister Éamon Ó Cuív TD welcomes Lumension’s 20 new jobs

Níl leagan aistrithe ar fáil.A further jobs announcement for Galway has been welcomed this morning (Monday 19 July 2010) by Éamon Ó Cuív TD, Minister for Social Protection. Global software security firm Lumension, is to employ 20 new staff before the end of this year. This will bring the company’s Galway workforce to a total of 50 staff.
Lumension's international centre for product research and development, customer support and auxiliary services is based in the Mervue Business and Technology Park in Galway. The company is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.
Minister Ó Cuív said: “I am delighted Lumension plans to expand its Galway workforce. The expansion plan is indicative of the quality of our young, enthusiastic labour force and particularly the skills-set of our highly qualified software engineers. The announcement is also extremely encouraging for the west of Ireland’s information communications technology sector.”
The Galway operation is a key element of Lumension's global performance. Minister Ó Cuív said the current workforce at the Galway base in Mervue Business Park should be proud “of the role they have played in the further development and growth of the company.”
